About Cupcakes:

'Cupcakes' was founded and is run by Heather White and Lori Joyce, two best friends who grew up together in Victoria on Vancouver Island. Heather and Lori were just twenty-seven years old when they turned their sweet dream of starting a business together into a dream come true. Both having a background in sales, Heather and Lori have worked for various companies dealing with everything from fashion to wastewater treatment. In the Fall of 2001 the girls found themselves working together in New York around the time of the tragic events of September 11th. They even did business daily at Ground Zero. Ironically, amongst darkness and devastation Heather and Lori were inspired to finally realize their dream. It was time to go solo and it was clear to them what their new venture would be. Their business had to be light, it had to be fresh and it had to be fun, a return to simpler times. There was no question, it had to be, Cupcakes. Cupcakes' nostalgic trademark colors like perfect icing pink, soft vanilla and rich chocolaty brown punctuate their simple awning and interior. Once drawn inside by the familiar, softly sweet aroma, you are instantly tempted by an array of irresistible confections from the classic 'Sweet Sixteen' (vanilla cake with pink icing and pastel sprinkles) to the sinful 'Lava Flow' (chocolate cake with cream cheese icing and an injection of raspberry) mmm! Heather, Lori and their team at Cupcakes busily provide various weddings, special events, and other to-dos with their unique and scrumptious brand of retro cakes and cupcakes. Shelf Life of a Cupcake?

Our cupcakes are made with the highest quality, preservative free ingredients. We recommend eating the cupcakes the day they are purchased, however they are still yummy the next day. If you plan to keep your cupcakes longer than 2 days, keep them in the 6 packs. Cupcakes may also be frozen in an airtight container.

How can I keep the cupcakes fresh???

Cupcakes are best at room temperature. The fridge will dry out the cake, although the freezer is a great idea to store extra cupcakes! We recommend eating the cupcakes the day they are purchased, however you can keep them in the plastic 6 packs or an airtight container and enjoy for up to 3 days later.

Can I place an order in advance?

You can preorder your cupcakes 24 hours in advance for pick–up and delivery. For cakes we need at least 48 hours notice to have the cake baked and iced to your liking.

Flavors to order?

The only flavor of cupcakes we offer at this time are the cupcakes that you see posted on our website. Note that we rotate our seasonal flavors out every couple of weeks.

Can I place an order for Cupcakes on the same day that I need them?

Just call and ask. At Cupcakes we will do everything possible to accommodate your request for Cupcakes; however sometimes we are unable to process last minute orders particularly on Friday, Saturday and Sundays.

Can Cupcakes ship cupcakes in the mail?

Cupcakes delivers to our customers in the greater Vancouver area via courier. At this time, we are unable to ship cupcakes across Canada and the USA.

Is Cupcakes franchising?

Cupcakes is currently focusing on local corporate expansion within Vancouver. We will be creating Area Development Franchise Agreements for Canada and the USA once we have established the local marketplace. Can you order cupcakes for your wedding?

Yes you can. Please call 604-974-1300 ext 7 to set up your wedding consultation with Izabela. All wedding consultations are at 2887 West Broadway.

Do Cupcakes contain nuts?

Allergy Alert! We do have nuts in our bakery so there may be traces of nuts in our products.
